It would be nice to commence by saying that Lenny Lashley was simply born to be a great musician, IF he didn't have to work so goddamn hard to be one... And so, what may have begun as an innate ability (and desire) to communicate through song, has ultimately become Lenny Lashley's most-enduring obsession...

It is no secret that Lenny was for many years, battling the throes of addiction and yet despite this, he still managed to cultivate a mythical career, from his earliest contributions to the New England punk scene (Darkbuster), to his later manifestation with the Piss Poor Boys and then eventually emerging as the lone singer-songwriter (Gang of One), Lenny's life is mostly-discussed in-whispers (I humbly do suggest)...

But what I CAN-say with absolute certainty is that few musicians ever-try to dig so very deep, nor do they invest so very much… And that watching Lenny play is akin to seeing somebody fight for their very lives, through music...

So now; with every-tone having-been meticulously developed and with a great group of musicians by his side, it is Lenny Lashley's latest-recording, that was simply "born" to be fantastic...
